How to get a good nights sleep?

In my house I try to turn the Temperature way down to stay cool so I can bundle up and snuggle to fall asleep.

You could try exercising more during the day. Are you keeping busy, or (like me) spend most of your day in front of a computer? If so, you might need more exercise. Generally, if you’re supertired, you’ll fall asleep easier.

Caffeine is a problem. So, if you’re drinking soda, tea, coffee, energy drinks, or other beverages with caffeine in them, you might stop after a certain time. I don’t know, maybe 3 or so?

Don’t look at a clock and think of how you should be sleeping and it’s already 2 in the morning and you’re going to be so tired and OH MY GOSH! No. Don’t do that. Just turn the clocks around and such.

Perhaps get some relaxing music, like say waves on a beach, or really sleepy-making piano/guitar music. I wouldn’t get anything with words, because if you’re like me, you’ll be up listening to the words song after song after song.

It would probably be a good idea to try to go to bed at a normal times and set a clock for a normal time to wake up. Then force yourself to wake up and go through the day without naps (They’ll prevent you from sleeping). The day after, go to bed again at the specified bed time and repeat. However, I’d do this on a weekend or a day you don’t have anything to do, just in case, because everyone deals with overtiredness differently. Some people are just groggy. Other people become hysterical.

Stay completely still… Maybe even pretend you’re tied down or whatever keeps you still. Then close your eyes. Think calming thoughts… Like..
-Being on a beach (it fits that ocean waves CD my dad owns…)
-Every part of your body falling asleep and being relaxed
-Calming things… not how much you need to sleep.
